Peace be upon you, and welcome, my friends, to a new post for today about the Need For Speed mobile game
Need for Speed fans already have a new game to look forward to before the year ends, but they may have another version headed to their phones at the same time.  The Tencent-developed mobile entry in Electronic Arts' racing franchise was leaked via job listings months ago, and now there's less than a minute of gameplay that provides further proof of its existence.

The leak shows races that will look familiar to fans of the franchise, especially those who played Need for Speed Drift in 2019. This is because, according to Reddit, the game uses a modified version of the Drift map.
The gameplay takes its cues from Tencent's Need for Speed Edge, where the three currently available cars can drift and boost with more flair.

The potential developer behind the latest mobile entry in the Need for Speed series is TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary within Tencent that has worked on games like Call of Duty Mobile and Pokémon Unite in the past.  It's not the developer behind Need for Speed: No Limits, the franchise's current free-to-play offering on mobile.  Tencent's Need for Speed games haven't always been localized to the West, which means this Drift follow-up could be limited to the Asian market.

Players can look forward to a new flagship entry for consoles and PC as it is developed by Criterion Games.  The makers of Burnout have a long history with the brand and something to prove after a series of disappointing entries.

News about this game and this mobile port may come fast and furious as EA introduces its holiday lineup in the coming months.
